Valve takes up hardware

In the job, “Industrial Designer” on its website Valve finally confirmed what many have said recently – plans to start production of computer hardware. Valve just said: “We’re frustrated by the lack of innovation in the computer hardware space though, so we’re jumping in.”

In the position states that “even basic input, the keyboard and mouse, haven’t really changed in any meaningful way over the years” but the company is not exactly indicate over what exactly the same equipment to work the designer. Still, it will specify literally

There’s a real void in the marketplace, and opportunities to create compelling user experiences are being overlooked.

According to rumors Valve is preparing to release its gaming console platform Steam (so called “Steam Box”), but the company rejected them and said that she had no plans on this issue “in the near future.” The idea behind Steam Box is easy to guess – if the rumors are true, then Valve wants to become an exemplary analog of Google and Android in the mobile world, laying the foundation for growth and becoming the guarantor of an open gaming ecosystem through Steam, which will go beyond personal computers. Therefore, the company soon will open a new direction for himself outside constantly shrinking market of computer games and bite off a piece of the huge pie, now owned video games.
