Valve opens Steam store to non-gaming software

Honestly, expected more.
The list of programs is small, and the program is not very popular.

And what we have, software updates and the ability to save files to Valve-hosted servers and maybe discounts.

If it is strictly tied to the account that is whether it makes sense to buy it from Steam, if you can directly from the author.

Wait and see, I am now highly critical.
I think, in any case, games market is practically owned by Steam, so they need to evolve.
